I’m really excited about this post because it combines two of my favorite things. Those two things are DIY Crafts and Fall Decorations. I will walk you through all the supplies you’ll need and the steps you’ll need to take to make your own DIY Rustic Wooden Candy Corn.

Supplies:

Acrylic Craft Paint (Orange, White, and Yellow)

2in by 4in Wooden block cut into triangles

Step 1:

Take a flat acrylic flat brush and paint in the top third of the triangle using white acrylic craft paint. Let the first layer completely dry before you decide if it needs a second coat or not.

Don’t forget to paint the sides and the back too!

Step 2:

The next step is to paint the middle of the triangle with your orange craft paint. Leave a third of the triangle left for the yellow paint. You can do as many layers as you would like on this section as well.

Step 3:

The next thing we need to do is, yep, you guessed it, paint in the remaining space of our triangle with yellow acrylic craft paint. Use as many layers as you like, just like we did in previous steps.

Step 4: (Optional)

Take a piece of sandpaper and sand down along the three edges of the triangle. This will really give your wooden candy corns a rustic look.

Step 5:

Take your twine and cute about a foot length off. Wrap the twin around the candy corn twice and tie a nott. Cut off any remaining piece of twin you don’t like. And there you have it! Your Rustic Wooden Candy Corn is complete!
